The extender boxes have been designed to allow Fardux Enterprise data acquisition systems to receive third party data transfers over extended distances of up to 800 metres. The system consists of a pair of matched mains-powered 110/240V AC boxes, each capable of sending and receiving data, with the data being transmitted as an I.S. 4-20mA signal loop.
This allows the operator to use Fardux standard 25 metre extension cables to cross any hazardous area between computers.
The RS232 extender system can be used for ASCII, WITTS and Modbus data transfer and is manufactured in durable die-cast alminium boxes to prevent damage during transit and storage
