Exciting times at Fardux

by Michael Mason | Apr 03, 2014
Exciting times lay ahead of Fardux in the forthcoming year - both technically and commercially!

In the last four months, and for the next few months, we have been actively engaged in a marketing campaign to launch our FieldView product range to a an audience that have not been our historical target prospects.

The reception of our product range has been fantastic and this has lead to increased early sales in the roll out process. Along with the FieldView product range, we have been showcasing our wireless technology, Airwave. While this is a product that that has been available for some years already, our sales and marketing efforts in this area haven’t been all that perhaps they should have been.

Wireless isn’t right for all applications, but where it is practical it can offer a workable solution. We have never been wild about singing the praises of transmission systems since Fardux are in the data business, caring less about how it gets there and more about the accuracy, resolution and reliability of the data. Our Wireless HART gateway is compliant with the HART foundation protocols and has been designed to be intuitive, easy to use and logical, unlike most off the shelf gateways that are available for applications from boiled sweets to sausage making facilities. None of this happens by accident or without considerable engineering effort to ensure what we deliver to the field is thoroughly fit for purpose and not just “new technology“.

Many changes have occurred in the digital world in recent years and keeping abreast of such technologies is both exciting technically and provides opportunity commercially beyond the boundaries of our tradition business.

Fardux have occupied a prominent position in the data acquisition and process control world, particularly for oilfield service companies since 1990. Our products have been internationally recognised as well designed, supported and easy to use for all the years that we have been in business. While our new product range is new and exciting and takes us into new markets our efforts in our traditional business sector still continue to develop and forge forward at a pace. In many ways each more recent component of our product range very often has a positive bearing on existing and parallel products across the range.

We have recently extended our real time DataCast service to increase our fleet of web servers since we have seen a upturn in activity for this now mature, stable and reliable offering for clients who want to follow their job as is happens from multipoint remote stations. While this service from Fardux is more than 15 years old already, more and more interest seems to be shown in real time remote monitoring.

We have also seen an increase in training course take up both at our offices in the UK and the UAE and also at client premises. Training is an important part of Fardux provision and is generally highly valued within our client community.

This year our group of companies (Wellwise Group) celebrates 25 years in business. 25 years in which we have never stopped developing and introducing innovation to our clients. It’s also 25 years of support from our clients in recognition of our efforts, and we take this opportunity to thank you all.
